Celebrating the 200th show in such fine company is a great honour and distinction for us. During the yesterday’s show, we had Richard Kornicki, son of commander Franciszek Kornicki, a distinguished Royal Air Force pilot, in the audience.
Yesterday evening was particularly important to us. Apart from celebrating the 200th performacne of “The Pilots”, we also hosted a special guest. Richard Kornicki and his wife came to us from London to see the 200th show. Richard Kornicki is a son of the famous commander Franciszek Kornicki, a leader of the Polish squadron of the Royal Air Force during the Second World War who died just last year. Commander Kornicki was voted the most distinguished Spitfire pilot in a poll launched by the RAF Museum. Richard gave a beautiful and moving speech at the end of the yesterday’s show. We would like to thank him very much for attending. It was a great honour for us and an excellent way to celebrate the occasion.
