AIDA is a musical composed by the pop music legend Elton John to the lyrics penned by Tim Rice, one of the best-known songwriters in the genre of musicals. The librettos were authored by Linda Woolverton, Robert Falls and David Henry Hwang, while the original stage version was produced by Disney Theatrical Productions. The musical, set in ancient Egypt, tells a story of a forbidden love between Aida, the Nubian princess taken captive by the Egyptians, and Radames, a captain of the Egyptian army, who is betrothed to Amneris, the Pharaoh’s daughter.
The Polish premiere is scheduled for October 19, 2019 (direction: Wojciech Kępczyński; translation: Michał Wojnarowski).
The first stage of auditions will be held on March 25-27 (beginning daily at 11:00 a.m.) at Roma Musical Theatre in Warsaw, service entrance (wejście służbowe), ul. Św. Barbary 12. All casting-related details are provided in the downloadable document below.
