The enthusiasts of “The Phantom of the Opera” arrived in Białystok from all over Poland. Simultaneously, on 24th of January, 100th performance on the stage of The Podlaska Opera and a rally of the greatest admirers of famous Andrew Llyod Webber’s musical took place.
Since early morning the viewers were presented with various attractions – competitions, meetings with actors, tours to nooks and crannies of the theatre. The authors of the performance raised a bit the curtain of the backstage and the fans of “The Phantom of the Opera” got to know secrets of make-up, preparing masks and costumes. 100th spectacle started at 6 P.M. and the viewers (some of them for the umpteenth time) could experience magical moments with their favourite characters. After the performance and thunderous applause the triple Platinum Record was handed in. On behalf of the whole team it was collected by Maciej Pawłowski – music director, Damian Aleksander – performer of a role of the Phantom, Paulina Janczak – unforgettable Christine and Wojciech Kępczyński – producer of “The Phantom of the Opera” and director of The Musical Theatre Roma in Warsaw.
