It’s just three days until the première of the musical Once. Today we had the pleasure to present excerpts from the show at a press conference.
The numerous journalists, editors and critics who attended were our first and certainly most demanding audience. It is them who watched selected numbers from Once: Falling Slowly performed by Marta Masza Wągrocka and Adam Krylik, North Strand performed by the Company, When Your Mind’s Made Up performed by Mariusz Totoszko, Monika Rygasiewicz and the Company, The Hill performed by Monika Rygasiewicz, and Gold performed by the Company.

The première of the musical Once on the NOVA Stage of ROMA Musical Theatre will take place this Saturday, 12 May. 28 shows (including the première) are scheduled by the mid July. The tickets are selling extremely well. The musical will return to the smaller stage of ROMA Musical Theatre in the autumn.
Once is an American musical first staged in 2011 and based on the 2007 movie of the same title by John Carney. The show has been a great success in the USA and other countries – it has received, among other things, eight Tony awards – the most prestigious American theatre awards (including Best Musical and Best Book), as well as 2013 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theatre Album. The song Falling Slowly from the movie soundtrack was awarded a 2008 Oscar for Best Original Song.
