The musical Waitress premiered on Broadway in New York in 2016. The music and lyrics were written by Sara Bareilles, and the book by Jessie Nelson (based on the film of the same name written and directed by Adrienne Shelly). It tells the story of a woman trying to break out of a failed marriage, and regain her freedom and ability to decide her own destiny. This musical tale – both touching and moving, yet at the same time full of humour and wit – has been a hit with audiences and critics alike. The Polish premiere in ROMA Musical Theatre will take place in 2021!
As always, you can expect a superb cast, stunning set design and, above all … a real treat to enjoy.
Waitress is the twenty-first musical to be performed on the ROMA Theatre’s Main Stage.
